Please welcome Local 784’s new Assistant Business Agent Robert Horek. Brother Horek has been at the San Francisco Opera and Ballet doing laundry for several years. He expressed an interest in participating more in the Local and started assisting Business Agent Besser in August. At the September General Meeting Brother Horek’s appointment was confirmed by the membership.

Many of you have already spoken to Brother Horek as he’s been dispatching workers since the beginning of August and has had the opportunity to make calls for fall Opera, South Pacific and several smaller jobs and emergency replacements. ABA Horek has also been working with BA Besser and S/T Pelous on learning the Local’s office systems and preparing Work Summaries as well as attending the San Francisco Ballet negotiation meetings.

He looks forward to serving as ABA for and with his Brothers and Sisters of 784 and developing a relationship of trust and brotherhood.
